About Wine

Gift of Nature

In a world that has begun to question the very meaning of progress, wine. - a cultural treasure with a history of over four thousand years - holds a remarkable place as a mediator. It helps make our existence a little more bearable, softens our empatience, and deepens our understanding. The harmony of wine contributes to the harmony of life itself.

Our winery is located in the southernmost part of the Weinviertel, at the foot of the Bisamberg. With a vineyard area of 15,892 hectares, the Weinviertel accounts for half of Lower Austria’s total wine-growing region - making it about the same size as the entire wine area of Burgenland. In comparison, our 5.5 hectares may seem small, yet for us they represent a great and rewarding responsibility: to tend our vines with care and produce truly delightful wines.

All of our wines are sold directly at our Heuriger and from the winery itself. We’re also happy to open our sales room for you by appointment - just give us a call!
Grüner Veltliner is our signature grape variety, yet Riesling, Chardonnay, Gelber Muskateller, and the red varieties Blauer Zweigelt, Blauer Portugieser, Merlot, and St. Laurent also fthrive beautifully in our vineyards.

Stay home, feel fine with Moser wine.

Our Varieties

Whitewine

Grüner Veltliner

Grüner Veltliner is Austria’s principal grape variety and is found almost exclusively in our country. It is characterised by its fruitiness, combined with a fine peppery spice and a lively acidity. At our winery, you can enjoy Grüner Veltliner in several distinctive styles.

Rheinriesling

Riesling is considered the finest of all white grape varieties and is often referred to as the “King of Wines.” It is renowned for its powerful, precisely defined aromas; sometimes floral, sometimes honeyed and spicy, or marked by distinct mineral notes that reflect the character of the vineyard in which it grows.

Chardonnay

Chardonnay is a variety of Pinot Blanc, known for its fine, floral Burgundy bouquet. Compared to Pinot Blanc, it develops higher must weights and produces full-bodied yet elegant wines with a delicate acidity.

Gelber Muskateller

Gelber Muskateller is one of the oldest grape varieties and exists in numerous types. At our winery, it is mostly produced in a dry style, distinguished by its intense muscat aroma and flavour.

Gemischter Satz

Gemischter Satz is a typical Austrian specialty, in which different grape varieties from the same vineyard are harvested together on the same day.

Redwine

Blauer Portugieser

Blauer Portugieser was introduced from the Port wine region in 1772 and is, after Zweigelt, the second most widely grown red grape variety in Austria. It is a mild, smooth wine that is best enjoyed young.

Blauer Zweigelt

Zweigelt is the most popular red wine variety in Austria. It is a cross between Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent.

St. Laurent

St. Laurent is an important grape variety in Austria. It produces deeply coloured, fruity red wines, though with relatively low yields.

Merlot

Merlot is a relatively new grape variety in our region. Through careful yield reduction, it produces intense, fruity red wines.
